From DownUnder

Sunny afternoon.

Sunset view from the Cruise Ferry

If you are a first timer in Sydney, visiting Opera House and the Harbor Bridge is a must. The majestic structures have been standing firm with pride, just like we have seen them on TV, and on postcards and calendars all these years. They have never stopped captivating all categories of photographers from the world over, aiming at the city icons with all sorts of cameras, from the simple pocket digicams right to the more sophiscated DSLRs showing off their heavy wide zoom lens much to the envy of the rest.

When in Rome, do like what the tourists in Rome do. Well, I guess everybody else did the same in Sydney today (7 Feb) ... click here and click there. ;-)

Kompangs and Malay Wedding Ceremonies Can Never Be Separated

The "kompang", played like the tambourine, is the most popular Malay traditional instrument. It is widely used for various occasions, especially during wedding ceremonies to signal the arrival of the bride and groom as shown in this collection, which I attended today in a small town of Tanjong Karang, about an hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur.
